Terms and conditions

Aloha Birth – Doula & Family Parent Consulting

1. General Information

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Aloha Birth – Doula & Family Parent Consulting, operated by Viktoria Zita Verebes, located at 39, Buitenruststraat, Voorburg, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number . 

By booking or using any of my services, you (the client) agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of Services

Aloha Birth provides emotional, mental, physical, and informational support during: 

  • pregnancy,
  • birth,
  • postpartum, 
  • family and parent consulting, 
  • Blessingway ceremonies, 
  • and body-centered preparation practices.

 

By booking or using any of my services, you (the client) agree to these Terms and Conditions.

All services are complementary. 

I do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical care, and I do not replace a midwife, doctor, or any healthcare professional.

3. Agreement & Booking

A service agreement is created when:

  • the client submits a booking form, email confirmation, or online order, and 
  • Aloha Birth confirms the booking in writing. 


I reserve the right to decline a booking when necessary (for example, due date overlap, illness, or schedule conflict).

4. Fees & Payment Conditions

  • All fees are listed on the website or communicated in writing. 
  • A deposit of 50% may be required to secure birth doula services. 
  • Invoices must be paid within 2 days unless otherwise agreed. 
  • Late payments may incur statutory interest and administrative fees as allowed under Dutch law.

5. Cancellation & Withdrawal

EU 14-day withdrawal right: 

Clients who book online may withdraw within 14 days unless the service has already been performed within that period. 

Client cancellation: 

  • More than 8 weeks before the due date: partial or full refund as agreed.
  • Less than 6 weeks before the due date: no refund, unless otherwise agreed. 
  • Postpartum, consulting, and ceremony sessions may be rescheduled once for free with 24h notice. 


Doula cancellation (force majeure): 

If I cannot attend a birth due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, I will make every reasonable effort to arrange a qualified replacement. 

If no replacement is available, unused fees will be refunded.

6. Liability

  • The client remains responsible for all medical decisions. 
  • Aloha Birth is not liable for medical outcomes or complications.
  • Liability is limited to the total value of the service fee paid, except in cases of intent or gross negligence as defined by Dutch law.

7. Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR / AVG)

Personal data is handled with care, confidentiality, and in compliance with GDPR/AVG. A separate Privacy Policy below explains how your information is collected, stored, and used.

8. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

If you have concerns or feedback, please share them with me directly so we can find a warm, respectful solution. 

If no agreement can be reached, disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

9. Governing Law

Dutch law (“Nederlands recht”) applies to all agreements and services.
